Hydro Testnet Campaigns: A Walkthrough
Nothing beats sitting on a beach on a sunny afternoon, waiting for waves to ride and a pina colada in hand. Yes, although we can’t promise the sun or a pina colada, we can promise waves of fun and opportunities to get involved with our testnet campaign. The Testnet waves are coming to you, so Hydro Ninjas, snap on your gear and get ready for the surf!
The Hydro Testnet Campaigns are finally opened!
We have prepared a few missions (coming to you in 2-day waves) and users who participate will be rewarded with an airdrop as we prepare for launch.
The Testnet Participation Campaign is opened to all, and fairly simple. Below is a simplified walkthrough of the campaign. Get involved, and get earning!
***Please note that Testnet participation is ONLY valid on PC Webpage. Mobile access is not available at this time***

Access to the Missions

- Connect your wallet. At this time, you can participate only through Keplr or Metamask wallets on the top right hand corner.
***We strongly recommend using Keplr when using Testnet, as Metamask may have technical stability issues on the Testnet Environment***
***Metamask users who have used Injective’s Testnet before can use Metamask for the campaign***
Connect Wallet — Keplr: If you are a new user on Keplr, you must add the Injective (Testnet) network. You can only connect to the Hydro Testnet Webapp once you add this network.
You can “Add to Keplr”. Then go back to your wallet extension and hit “Manage Chain Visibility”
3. You can now add the “Injective (Testnet)” network. Press Save.
4. Go back to the Hydro Dev and Connect Wallet
Get your INJ!
You will need $INJ to start the campaign. Go to the INJ Faucet: https://testnet.faucet.injective.network/ to get your Testnet $INJ.
For those who connect through Metamask, you’ll need to obtain a INJ wallet address to continue and receive $INJ (Connect your MetaMask wallet https://app.hydroprotocol.finance/ & copy your INJ wallet address).
***Again, due to potential technical issues with Metamask, we strongly advise users to participate via Keplr***
The Missions:
- Mission 1: Liquid Staking
September 5th 12:00 PM UTC — Sep.7th 11:59AM UTC
i) This is the first action and the core mission! Mint your hINJ by staking your INJ.
ii) Make sure the minting is completed by the end of the mission date
2. Mission 2: Farming
September 7th 12:00PM UTC — 9th 11:59AM UTC
i) In order to participate in the Farm campaign, you’ll need to have $hINJ (from the Liquid Staking campaign previously)
ii) Plant your $hINJ onto the Farms and start yielding $HDRO as rewards
iii) Make sure the farming is completed by the end of the mission date
3. Mission 3: Auto-Compounding
September 9th 12:00PM UTC — 11th 11:59AM UTC
i) Stake your $INJ into the Auto-Compound page to participate into the Auto-Compounding mission
ii) Make sure the staking is completed by the end of the mission date
4. Mission 4: Stake in INJ-HDRO Liquidity Pool
September 11th 12:00PM UTC — 13th 11:59AM UTC
i) The last mission is to stake into INJ — HDRO Pool.
ii) The amount isn’t important due to the instability of the faucet. Completing LP Pool (INJ — HDRO Pool) provide is the mission.
The Leaderboard:
The Leaderboard will be updated on a real time basis. Wallets are considered with one single factor: participation. Those wallets that participate in greater volume will be ranked accordingly.
Important Notices:
i) All functions will be technically available at open. However, the scores will only be applied during the mission dates. For example: only $HDRO accumulated on the Farm function between the valid dates (in this case, Mission 2: September 7–8) will be counted towards the leaderboard
ii) Airdrops will be confirmed in further details at a later time. The allocation of the airdrop within this testnet will be contingent upon factors such as active engagement with the Galxe platform, the quantity of tokens earned for each mission, and successful mission completion, among other considerations. Dates and amounts are exclusively at the discretion of the Hydro team
iii) Technical issues arising from the Injective Faucet is not Hydro’s responsibility.
iv) Please use PCs and not Mobile
v) We aim to be agnostic for wallets between Keplr and Metamask. However, we have witnessed some issues with Metamask in the Testnet environment, and we therefore advise users to participate via Keplr for this campaign. We are unable to troubleshoot any issues arising from Metamask wallets at this time.
vi) Missions are considered on a mutually exclusive basis. In short, if you miss Mission 1, you can still join Mission 2 during the valid days. Also, we will allocate airdrops for random wallets based on participation, so make sure you participate wherever and whenever possible!
