Meet Hydro Protocol
Introduction: What is Hydro?
Hello, World! Meet Hydro Protocol.
Hydro Protocol is the ultimate platform for staked assets on the Injective Network.
Liquid Staking Derivatives is a huge theme in DeFi, and Hydro is right in the middle of it, looking to bring you liquidity, utility and wealth.
Hydro is set to become the first and only native LSD protocol on the Injective Network, making the Liquid Staking Token (LST) well positioned to be the Injective standard in building the LSDFi ecosystem. Hydro even has the next step of Injective’s LSDFi growth strategy planned, with a Real-Yield Aggregator feature coming soon.
Hydro Protocol’s Launching Main Features:
Hydro Protocol is looking to launch by September 2023. In doing so we will be coming out of the deep with three main features:
LSD
Liquid Staking Derivatives (LSD) will be the primary product of Hydro Protocol that offers Liquid Staking. On LSD, you can deposit your INJ tokens in exchange for hINJ tokens to start earning staking rewards.
hINJ is a liquid staking token by Hydro Protocol that enables instant staking benefits and open up liquidity for different uses across other DeFi protocols.
Minting your hINJ unlocks endless opportunities within the Injective Ecosystem. We are engaged with different projects to ensure that hINJ becomes the collateralized standard across the whole network.
FARMING
Our farming feature will be one of the first use cases of your hINJ token on the Injective Network.
By depositing you hINJ, you will be able to get maximum yield on your tokens. There will be a boost program to reward those who are using the farm.
The farm is arable, and is of good harvest. Come get your low-hanging fruit wins on the Hydro Farm.
AUTO-COMPOUNDING
Hydro Protocol allows users to “set it and forget it” and take advantage of an auto-compounding feature to maximize their staking yields and amplify their rewards with INJ assets.
In the traditional staking model, users are left with an option of manually claiming the INJ rewards and then having to re-stake them to compound interest. This is an inconvenience of periodically having to go online and manually re-staking, which also incurs additional network fees and steals away time and mindshare.
With Auto-Compounding, you can use your mindshare somewhere else. We’ll do the re-staking for you.
HDRO Token
The HDRO token is the governance and utility token on Hydro Protocol. The tokenomics have been carefully designed to be deflationary and accrue value.
With a max supply of 1 billion tokens, HDRO is designed to benefit HDRO holders and stakers. A value accrual mechanism has been implemented to take advantage of real yield, and proportionally used to buyback HDRO to capture value and distributed to HDRO holders to benefit the stakers.
Further details on the distribution and allocation of the token will be provided.
***Coming Soon: Real-Yield Aggregator***
As a tickling teaser to the world, we present the upcoming Real Yield Aggregator on Hydro for the Injective Network.
LSDs has gained popularity but as aforementioned often have limited use cases for building wealth because yield opportunities are inflationary and have diminishing value. LSDs can only grow so much without yield opportunities, and yield opportunities is where LSDFi (Liquid Staking Derivatives Finance) can really take off. This is where the Hydro’s Real Yield Aggregator comes into play.
The Hydro team is creating a Real-Yield Aggregator whereby REAL yield from various sources can be aggregated into an aggregated index and distributed to users. This has the potential to be explosive in nature as risk is low, diversified and easy to use. The kickoff for LSDFi within Injective is really only starting.
Keep an eye out for this. This is only a teaser.

Hydro Protocol’s expected launch is September 2023, whereby the three features above will launch with Hydro Token (HDRO) TGE simultaneously.
